Computer-assisted Approaches for Uterine Fibroid Segmentation in MRgFUS Treatments: Quantitative Evaluation and Clinical Feasibility Analysis

Published in Quantifying and Processing Biomedical and Behavioral Signals (Springer), 2018

This chapter presents computer-assisted approaches for the segmentation of uterine fibroids in Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound Surgery (MRgFUS) treatments. It provides a quantitative evaluation of the segmentation methods and an analysis of their clinical feasibility, discussing how semi-automatic and automatic delineation of the treated regions can support the assessment of MRgFUS therapy.
